October 3, 2017

Preparing for the New Automotive Industry

The automotive industry is going through a transformative change, in part because of the growing digitalization and advancements in technology. Predicting where the industry will be in 2020 has become challenging, and with buzzwords, like Industry 4.0, Robotics, and Connectivity, it can be hard to know where to invest your resources.

During the World Automotive Conference taking place in Istanbul, Turkey October 11 -12, 2017 there will be 50+ global speakers coming together with 500+ automotive professions for two days. The 4th annual conference will feature a Start-Up Hub, Ladies Industry Breakfast, Workshops and Round Tables, and a Dedicated B2B Networking Zone.

Global Trends & Technologies – How will technology disruption really affect the automotive industry over the next five years?

During Session 1: Industry Trends – Surgere’s VP of Logistics Innovation, Michael Silvio will be sitting on a panel alongside Akin Adamson – TRL, John Fleming – Ford, Gokce Bezmez – Mercedes-Benz Turk, and Hakan Kostepen – Panasonic. The group will be discussing how the automotive industry will be changing over the next five years. The panelists will discuss whether it is worth predicting beyond the time horizon when technology changing is at a rapid pace, and if their are any black swans on the horizon. Along with speaking on the panel Silvio will be leading a Round Table Workshop. During Round Table #8: Logistics Innovation and Employee Retention, he will talk and answer questions about putting people first.
