Surgere Attends Southern Automotive Conference in Biloxi, MS

The Southern Automotive Conference (SAC) was hosted by the Mississippi Automotive Manufacturing Association (MAMA) in Biloxi, Mississippi and took place October 5-7, 2016.

As the automotive industry continues to grow in the south, OEMs and Suppliers are seeking innovation, ideas and improvement. The Southern Automotive Conference was a chance for automakers and suppliers to discuss growth, challenges and new opportunities within the global market. Surgere President and CEO, William Wappler co-led a workshop with Kalman Gyimesi, Automotive Marketing Leader for IBM Watson IoT around Industry 4.0 and safeguarding the cyber-physical automotive supply chain. The workshop explored a variety of data acquisition technologies and real-world asset management use cases. With asset movement, location sensors, and tactical data utilization playing a larger role within the digital-physical realm of interconnectivity, Industry 4.0 will bring new opportunities for control, optimization and transformation – Exciting days ahead for automakers.
