Cookie Policy

We use cookies to facilitate easier navigation within the Online Interfaces and provide a tailored experience. Please see our Privacy Statement for detailed information and for an explanation of the capitalized terms in this Cookie Policy. We use cookies and the other tracking technologies described below for a number of purposes. We will only track the cookies of individuals in the European Union after we receive their consent to do so. Upon your first visit to our Online Interfaces, a banner will appear, asking you to give us your consent to the setting of cookies. If your consent is given, we will place a cookie on your computer and the banner will not appear again as long as the cookie is active. After expiration of the cookie’s lifespan, or if you actively delete the cookie, the banner will reappear upon your next visit to our Online Interfaces and again ask for your consent. Please see our Privacy Statement for more information.

What are cookies and why do we use them?

Cookies are small text files containing small amounts of information, which are downloaded and may be stored on your device, such as your computer, tablet, and mobile device. The information provided below about cookies also applies to these other tracking technologies as described below in the next section.

Which cookies do we use?

  • Browser Cookies: We use two types of browser cookies: (1) session cookies and (2) persistent cookies. Session cookies normally expire when you close your browser, while persistent cookies remain on your device after you close your browser, and can be used again the next time you access our Online Interfaces. Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can modify your browser setting to decline cookies by visiting the Help portion of your browser’s toolbar.

  • Other Tracking Technologies: We also use other tracking technologies such as web beacons, pixels, mobile identifiers, and tracking URLs, which work similarly to cookies. They place small data files on your devices to monitor your activity to enable us to collect information about your use, for example, to count users who have visited our Online Interfaces, opened an email, and for other related statistics.

  • Third Party Cookies and Social Plugins: Some content or applications, including advertisements, on our Online Interfaces are served by third-parties, including advertisers, ad networks and servers, content providers, application providers, and social media sites such as Facebook’s Like Button. As a result of this, you may send to the third party the information that you are viewing on a certain part of our Online Interfaces. These third parties may use cookies (alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies) to collect information about you when you access our Online Interfaces. They may collect your Personal Data, including your online activities over time and across different websites and other online services. If you are not logged into your account with the third party, then the third party may not know your identity. If you are logged into your account with the third party, then the third party may be able to link information or actions about your interactions with our Online Interfaces to your account with them. Please refer to the third party’s privacy policies to learn more about its data practices. They may also use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioral) advertising and other targeted content. We do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly. For information on how you can consent or withdraw your consent to receive targeted advertising from many providers, please see the section “Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information” in Surgere’s Privacy Statement.

How can you control cookies?

We will only issue Browser Cookies of individuals in the European Union and use other Tracking Technologies when you have affirmatively consented to us doing so by accepting the cookie banner.

  • Browser Cookies: You can control and manage cookies in various ways. You may refuse to accept browser cookies by activating the appropriate setting in your browser. Please bear in mind that removing or blocking cookies can impact on your user experience and parts of our Online Interfaces may no longer be fully accessible.

  • Other Tracking Technologies: You cannot remove or block web beacons, as they form part of the content of the web pages rather than placing information on your computer. However, because they work in conjunction with cookies, turning off cookies will prevent web beacons from tracking your activity. The web beacon will record an anonymous visit, but cookies will not be recorded.

  • Analytics cookies: You can opt-out of having your anonymized browsing activity within Online Interfaces recorded by analytics cookies.=

How we respond to Do Not Track Signals

We also may use automated data collection technologies to collect information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites or other online services (behavioral tracking). Some web browsers permit you to broadcast a signal to websites and online services indicating a preference that they “do not track” your online activities. At this time, we do not honor such signals and we do not modify what information we collect or how we use that information based upon whether such signal is broadcast or received.

For more information on how to modify your browser settings to block or filter cookies, see http://www.aboutcookies.org/ or http://www.cookiecentral.com/faq/. Please feel free to contact Surgere at info@Surgere.com for any comments or concerns that you may have regarding this Cookie Policy.
